Brave Space is a healing place for gun violence prevention professionals and survivors. We meet together with people who are willing to share their challenging life experiences on a public platform and describe their process for achieving personal transformation. In doing so, we are helping to reframe the harmful narratives about community violence and those involved.
The purpose of The Brave Space Podcast is for us to heal in community. By sharing our lived experiences, we give voice to those who are most impacted by community violence and in need of healing and restoration.

Community organizer, activist, and advocate Greg Jackson survived a near-fatal shooting as an innocent bystander in 2013. Following his recovery, he dedicated himself to preventing gun violence. As the former Deputy Director of the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, he has played a pivotal role in reducing homicides, securing federal resources to build safer communities, and mentoring youth and community violence intervention leaders across the country.
